The district has provided health insurance cards for more than 10,000 policy beneficiaries and poor people. Every year 2,500 new jobs are created.

These successes can be attributed to the following reasons: first, Nam Sach lies in the T-junction of the Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh economic triangle, very favourable to trade and servicing development. Second, the district boasts an abundant labour force. In 2005, the people of working age made up 54.7 percent of the population, and people involved in economic activities, 95 percent, and 33.3 percent of them were trained. Third, the district issued correct policies and mechanisms as well as appropriate measures for economic restructuring as well as encouraging household and farm economies. The district has decided to build an economy with three layers including agriculture, small industries and handicrafts and industrial clusters. Building a clean and strong Party organisation is very important to motivate socio-economic development.
