Over the past 80 years, since the historic milestone of August 1945, Vietnamese diplomacy - founded by President Ho Chi Minh, a genius leader and an outstanding diplomat, and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam - has consistently upheld its revolutionary mettle, carried forward its proud traditions, devoted itself to serving the Fatherland and the people, and made important contributions to the nation’s great victories. Vietnamese diplomacy has left a profound imprint on every stage of the country’s history, from the struggle to win and safeguard national independence and achieve national reunification to the task of building and defending the Fatherland.
